Bio

Noorlintang “Nori” Suminar, born in 1992, is a Jakarta-based artist and illustrator. Her works mostly talk about self-reflection and her motherhood journey. It is shown in “Ednok”, a self-reflection project told in the manner of children’s fictional stories. Another work Nori is known for is “Kotak Main” (Play Box). It is a methodological playground that opens dialogue(s) between artistic experience and the tedious things of daily life.

Through the playground and the playing journal (called Buku Main or Play Book), Kotak Main invites parents, caregivers, teachers, and pedagog to celebrate the speculative futures through the children’s responses toward the space and mediums given. Although Kotak Main is now focused on children, Nori is planning to bring it to a broader audience, making it available for everyone with adjusted methods.

From various background professions, XX has become the initial for the group of people who have similar attraction in exploring audio and visual. First initiated when Dian Tamara as a director and Bobby Satya Ramadhan as an illustrator, work together in a music video project with Diskoria featuring kawaNAIF, Isyana Sarasvati, and Arditho Pramono entitled “YTH: Naif”. Through that, XX or Xobat Xeni is established on the basis of friendship to support each other in exploring visual narrative through various mediums.

Pristian Irvana Putra whose profession is architect, Billy Saleh and Tanya DIta Putri as musician, joined XX to expand our work form.

Beneath the mind, into the soul.

This project is about to learning the anatomy of feelings and human being. To take the audiences to feel the slice of life from a musical diorama theater that Nori & Xobat Xeni build. The show is called, Beneath the mind, into the soul. To watch the show, the audience is invited to enter the “egoscope” premises.
